The 24th Annual Spring Festival of The Arts
So this Sunday Leo and I moseyed our way over to Lake Lily Park in Maitland to have a look at the art festival there. The weather was perfect and the scenery at the park pristine. The air was permeated by the smell of kettle popped corn and the park was imbibed by a sense of tranquility. It was the perfect scene for art of all kinds. Photographs of deer and flora and all sorts of other pretty realities were placed carefully under tents, along with the most delicate of glass sculptures and oil paint renderings of abstract cats. Frail jewels and gems sat encased by protective glass along with other carefully crafted bits and baubles and reflected the lights of the sun and the beaming pride of their creators. Each picture, painting, and craft was lovingly doted upon by the artists who made them and each was a masterpiece in its own right. The festival proved a whimsical day replete with all the beauties the senses could absorb.
